Overview
DIN stands for Director Identification Number. It is a unique identification number allotted to an individual who intends to become a director of a company in India. No person can act as a director in any company without obtaining a valid DIN. The concept of DIN has been introduced under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and is regulated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
DIN is a lifetime number and once allotted, it remains valid irrespective of the number of companies in which a person becomes a director. It helps the government maintain a database of directors and track their involvement in different companies. DIN ensures transparency, accountability and proper governance in corporate management. It also helps prevent fraudulent practices by maintaining identity records of directors.
DIN can be obtained at the time of company incorporation through SPICe Plus form or separately by filing Form DIR 3 on the MCA portal. After obtaining DIN, it is mandatory for the director to complete DIR 3 KYC every year to keep the DIN active. Failure to file DIR 3 KYC results in deactivation of DIN and additional fees for reactivation. Proper documentation and accurate filing are important to avoid rejection.
Many applications get rejected due to mismatch in personal details, improper attachments or incorrect certification. BizGlobal assists individuals in obtaining DIN quickly by preparing and filing DIR 3, verifying documents, arranging professional certification and ensuring smooth approval so that you can be appointed as director without delay.
